WINTER SPORTSMorzine is a superb area for winter sports being part of the vast Portes du Soleil ski area which straddles both France and Switzerland. The Portes du Soleil includes 12 linked resorts, over 200 ski lifts and 270 slopes covering 650kms of slopes and all within a single ski pass.SKI HIRE: There are over twenty sports shops in Morzine offering the widest range of equipment both to rent and purchase. Skis and boots will cost from 20 euros per day to rent with discounts for longer hire periods. SKIING LESSONS: Ski school can be arranged at several of the local resorts (ESF - Ecole du Ski Francais) and there is also the English speaking ski school in Morzine.
