SUMMER ACTIVITIES

During the summer months, at an altitude of just over 1,000 metres, Morzine provides breath-taking alpine scenery. The air is clean and fresh and the valleys and meadows are full of mountain flowers. There are numerous outdoor activities on offer for both families and individuals throughout the summer months.

ACTIVITIES: As well as walking and biking the following activities are also on offer: Abseiling, Adventure Playground, Bird Watching, Bungee Jumping, Canoeing, Donkey and pony rides, Farm visits, Fishing, Golf, Grass Surfing, Gym, Hot Air Ballooning, Ice skating, Orienteering, Rock Climbing, Scuba Diving, Skating, Summer sledging, Swimming, Tennis, Tree Walks and White Water Rafting.

WALKS: The area around Morzine has an extensive range of marked trails suitable for the experienced hiker through to the casual walker. Some paths are suitable for children and/or buggies. The tourist office in Morzine has details of all available walks and can also help with the booking of guides for more adventurous routes.

BIKING: The area around Morzine is famous for its bike trails and many of the ski lifts are open in the summer to enable mountain bikers to access the mountains easily. The tourist office has a map of available trails graded according to difficulty and level of fitness required. The centenary Tour De France will pass through Morzine in 2003.
